Current Board Members
Omar A. Leos currently serves as the Chairman of Board and is in his third year serving on The Playhouse board. He is the Fine Arts Coordinator for Harlandale Independent School District, located on the southside of San Antonio. Omar has over 15 years of experience in public school arts education from teaching theater to fine arts administration. He holds a BA in English and Theatre from The University of the Incarnate Word and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
When not working, Omar can be seen directing, and sometimes acting, on stage here in San Antonio. He has directed Among the Sand and Smog and Two Sisters and a Piano at The Cellar Theatre, Ghosts at The Classic Theatre SA and Boeing Boeing at The Sheldon Vexler Theatre. Omar believes strongly that the city of San Antonio deserves high-quality theater and is very excited to see what the future holds for The Playhouse.
When not traveling the world, Omar and his husband Marty Taglauer live in San Antonio.
Natalie Kuhn currently serves as Treasurer of the Board. She is an Audit Manager with Randy Walker & Co. and holds both the CPA and CFE designations. She has over 16 years of experience in the accounting and auditing fields. Outside of her professional career, Ms. Kuhn enjoys serving in her community. She is a seven-year volunteer with Meals on Wheels and is an avid supporter of projects that benefit the elderly and homeless in the community.
Ms. Kuhn loves expressing her creative side through singing and acting. Her training in both classical and contemporary voice has given her opportunities to perform in local events around the city, and she has held featured roles in several commercials, corporate videos, and independent films in San Antonio and Austin. Her love of the arts fuels her passion for supporting The Playhouse. She believes in The Playhouse's mission of bringing high-quality local theater to San Antonio audiences.
Eric Buchaus currently serves as Secretary of the Board. He is a Network Solutions Architect with Logicworks based in New York. Eric and his family relocated to San Antonio from Chicago in 2015. He is also on the board of directors for the nationally acclaimed Marcsmen Chorus; the premiere a capella men's group right here in San Antonio.
Eric made his theatrical debut at The Playhouse during the inaugural presentation of All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 in December of 2016, and is looking forward to reviving the role in this year’s upcoming production. The courage to take the stage and to do more than just sing is thanks to his daughter, who is a growing thespian in her own right. Eric and his entire family fully support all local theater in San Antonio area looking forward to the vision and the future of the Playhouse.
Peter Lawrence Ray
Peter Ray graduated from UT Austin in May of 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts, Plan II. He worked as a Systems Analyst for Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York City from 1985-1987, and joined Valero Energy Corporation in San Antonio in July of 1987. He has worked every job in the Valero Information Services department at least twice, including his most recent stint as Director of I/S Process Optimization, I/S Services, and Personal Productivity. He was voted Valero Employee of the Month in May of 1998 and Valero Volunteer of the year in 2007. For the past 5 years he has managed Valero’s I/S Intern program, actively recruiting 15-25 college students each year to intern with Valero by visiting college campuses and career centers across the city and the state.
He has served on the Board of the Velo Valero cycling team since 2006, and was Captain of the team from 2007-2008. He is a fitness fanatic who has participated in the ADA Tour de Cure and the Bike MS: Ride to the River events forthe last15 years, and the San Antonio Tower Climb and Rock and Roll Marathon for the last 8. He moved to downtown San Antonio 4 years ago, and is very passionate about the revival of the urban core and the promotion of arts and culture there. He has managed to do almost 70 of the 100 Things to Do Before You Die in San Antonio (according to the San Antonio Current), and is working on the rest of the list. Finally, he is an amateur DJ who never met a 70s funk groove he didn’t like.
Lee Cusenbary is the General Counsel at Mission Pharmacal Company in San Antonio, Texas. He is the Chairman of The Playhouse Board of Trustees. Mr. Cusenbary and his family are active in participation and support of live theatre, and enjoy the growing theatre family in San Antonio. He and his wife, Teri Hospers, M.D., are two of the founding investors in The Playhouse's Renaissance Society, which provides sustainable, long-term funding for The Playhouse, allowing higher production values and payment to actors and the show's designers for their excellent work.
Bennett Allison is a CPA and Partner with Sol Schwartz & Associates. He has over 20 years of experience assisting clients with tax and accounting needs. Bennett holds a BBA and Master’s in accounting from UT Austin. He has enjoyed a stronger connection to the San Antonio arts community through his two years with The Playhouse and looks forward to many more.
Outside of his professional life and work with The Playhouse, Bennett serves on the Board of Trustees of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church and on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Bennett and his wife, Monica, also love raising and spending time with their four daughters.
Valerie Dullnig moved to San Antonio from Chicago, IL in 1995 after working and studying at Northwestern University. She graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to work at The University of Texas Health Science Center in the Department of Pharmacology in association with the Department of Psychiatry at The Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital with a focus on clinical research. Currently, Valerie is employed at The Limmer Hair Transplant Center where she is responsible for various clinical and administrative components of the practice.
Valerie’s involvement with the theater community and The Playhouse SA, in particular, stems from her children’s passion for the performing arts. From the time they were quite young, both of her children have participated in various productions at the Playhouse along with various theater venues in San Antonio. They continue to refine their skills as they mature and prepare for life in the adult world. Valerie’s goal is to inspire new, young performers to discover the enchanting world of the arts and performing.
Regina Pena Jimenez
Regina Peña Jimenez is the PR & Social Media Business Coordinator for Whataburger Restaurants at the company’s headquarters in San Antonio, TX. She is responsible for developing and executing communication outreach campaigns, community sponsorships, strategic planning, media opportunities, and creating memorable experiences for Whataburger customers. Outside of the office, Regina enjoys engaging in the community by serving on various nonprofit committees throughout San Antonio. Specifically, she is Co-Chair of the Emerging Leaders Council with the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, a philanthropic opportunity for local young professionals. One of Regina’s top passions is local theater and arts programs. She feeds her creative appetite by dancing at Trilogy Dance Center and serving as a Board Member of the San Antonio Playhouse.
Regina grew up in Bay City, TX. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with focuses on public relations, civic engagement, and leadership. “Roll Tide!”
Prior to joining Whataburger Regina held positions at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, San Antonio Water System, Silver Eagle Distributors, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and SABEResPODER in Los Angeles. Regina lives in San Antonio with her husband, Paul Jimenez.
Kevin C. Moriarty
Kevin C. Moriarty has been a central figure in San Antonio's healthcare and human service for three decades. Selected as the first chief executive officer of Methodist Healthcare Ministries (MHM), a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical and health-related human services to low-income families and the uninsured, Mr. Moriarty has led MHM to become the largest private funding source for community health care services in South Texas.
Mr. Moriarty grew up in New York City. He received his B.A. from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, with areas of concentration in history, economics, and philosophy, and earned a Master of Science degree in Urban Studies with a concentration in public administration, health, and human services planning, manpower planning and data analysis from the City University of New York. He has continued his education through the Harvard Business School Executive Program in 1997 and the Executive Program for Philanthropy Leaders through Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2006. Mr. Moriarty was also a member of the Peace Corps and served for two years in Liberia, West Africa as a teacher for elementary and secondary schools. Prior to joining the Ministries, Mr. Moriarty served as a public official with the City of San Antonio for over 20 years. The last position he held was as director for the Department of Community Initiatives.
Mr. Moriarty lives in San Antonio with his wife Jennifer Martens-Moriarty, and they have five children.

Dr. Marian Suarez is the Director of Training and Development for NuStar Energy where she creates and facilitates courses on everything from leadership, management and communication skills to generational differences, business ethics, and respect in the workplace. Prior to that, she worked on the Learning, Education, and Development team for Valero Energy specializing in leadership and communications training.
Dr. Suarez credits her experiences in high school drama club and in community theater productions for giving her the confidence and presence to become the training professional she is today. And she counts being a part of The Playhouse San Antonio family as one of the highlights of her life.
Alice Viroslav, M.D. was born in Houston, Texas and raised in San Angelo, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1985 and received her MD from Southwestern Medical School in 1989. Following medical school, she completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Emory University School of Medicine. While at Emory, Dr. Viroslav served as Chief Resident in Radiology.
Dr. Viroslav serves on the board of multiple local and national non-profit organizations. She recently completed her term as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Saint Mary's Hall Preparatory School and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Winston School of San Antonio. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of United Jewish Communities. Dr. Viroslav is also a classically trained soprano and is a Past President of the San Antonio Mastersingers. She received her black belt in Taekwondo in 2004.
Dr. Viroslav resides in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and three children.
Judith York is an Arts-in-Education and Development consultant who lives in San Antonio, Texas. She is currently the Executive Director of the San Antonio Chamber Choir. She served as a public school arts administrator for twelve years: ten years as Director of North East School of the Arts (NESA), and two years as the Director of the Edgewood Fine Arts Academy, where she also managed a state-of-the-art, 1,500-seat theater.
Ms. York has also served as the Program Director of the Institute of Texan Cultures, San Antonio Symphony Director of Annual Fund and Special Events, and Executive Director of the San Antonio Business Committee for the Arts. Previously in her career, she administered an artist-in-residence program in the New York City public schools. She holds a Ph.D. in Education Theatre from New York University, as well as a Masters degree in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Elementary Education.
