Well, we've all gotten way too wrapped up in the optics. The way we talk about things. We've forgotten to look at things for what they really are. - Emily
So much goes into every show!
Yes, the actors have a tough task ahead of them to not only memorize LOTS of dialogue, but to also incorporate their own personalities into the characters they're representing on the stage. The many technicians that help create the scene, the lighting and set designer, the costumer, and sound tech, and even the Marketing team have their jobs to do, also.
These parts of a play are planned out, designed, and implemented over the course of several weeks and during the many rehearsals, all the involved parties tweak their work alongside the actors on the stage. As the players refine their nuances, so do the off-stage folks. Two weeks away from opening night, much progress has been made but there is still plenty to do.
Directed by David Rinear, Disgraced opens Mar 17th in the Cellar Theater. Tickets and more info HERE!
